So last night the MTV VMA Awards for 2014 went off with several hitches but we here at Dainty Hooligan Boutique love a good red carpet! The VMAs allow attending celebs to show off a different side of themselves stylistically that they might not express at other award shows like the Grammys.
A few looks stood out to us, but we want your take on three different looks that strode down the red carpet. We wanna know who you think worked it out best stylistically: Jennifer Lopez in a glitzy and sexy silver dress, Taylor Swift in a new take on the jumpsuit, or Kendall Jenner in a simple black satin dress. With these beautiful dresses used non-traditionally for weddings, it makes sense that a non-traditional veil be used as well, right? Here are a couple DIY veil ideas that we loved that we think would look great for  your wedding day!

Over at greenweddingshoes.com, they show you how to make a polka dotted veil using soft tulle and acrylic paint. Personally, I'd dress it up a little more with crystals and tulle at the comb and add a border of pretty scalloped lace at the edge. But we also love the simplicity of this veil in it's original incarnation as well!
